The rules for accounts, classes, the Student Pass and practice exams. Last updated: October 24, 2026.
Your account
Keep your password private. Accounts are for one person. Please don't share your login or practice-exam access.
Classes
Your seat is confirmed once payment is received. We'll send class links and materials by email before the first session. A class runs once it reaches its minimum size (normally 12 students). If a class doesn't fill, or we need to reschedule or cancel it, we'll offer you a seat in another class or a full refund. Each registration includes a simul8R Student Pass from the day you register until two months after the class starts. If you don't pass the exam, you may sit in another public offering of the same class at no additional charge; ask from your dashboard after your class has finished.
Refunds and transfers
You can cancel for a full refund up to 7 days before your class starts. Within 7 days of the start date, you can transfer to a later class at no charge. Once a class has started, payments are not refundable. To request a refund or transfer, contact us.
simul8R Student Pass
The Student Pass is a subscription that unlocks new simul8R practice exams (a new one each time you start), chapter quizzes and drills. It renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribed (monthly, every 3 months, or yearly) until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account page; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We'll email you before an annual renewal. Payments already made are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Practice Exam 1 is free and doesn't need a subscription. Every simul8R practice exam is included with xSTELLAR8 CTFL class registration.
Practice exams
Our practice exams are original study material written to the ISTQB® CTFL v4.0 syllabus. They are not official exam questions, and passing them doesn't guarantee a result on the real exam. The certification exam itself is taken separately through an ISTQB exam provider and is not included unless your class says so.
Our content
Course materials and practice questions are for your personal study. Please don't copy, share or republish them.
Liability
We work hard to keep our material accurate and the site available, but provide them "as is". Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the class concerned.
Text messages
xSTELLAR8 sends text messages only to people who have chosen them on their account page and confirmed their number with a code. The texts are study reminders and class updates. Message frequency varies (usually a few a week); message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help, or contact us at hello@xstellar8.com or 571-327-8726. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to texts is not a condition of buying anything. See our privacy policy for how we handle your number.
